Valet broke my iKey

Well, this is why I hate valet parking. I should have used the valet key, but I gave them the damn ikey instead.

Got the car back, and the damn intelligent key fob looked like it was dropped as the unlock button was missing and the case partially open.

Hotel said they would cover replacement cost, but all i need is a damn unlock button. Rather not go through the trouble of buying a fob and having it programmed.

Anyplace I can buy just the outer plastic body?

Sure i can go to dealer....but I'd rather not take my car there. Seems like every time the damn car is out of my hands something happens. I just want a new ikey plastic case

I would make them buy a whole new key and chip. Then keep the key and replace the outer to have a second set.

Yeah, I just found a place selling brand new remotes with uncut keys. They are about $100. I have to buy it on my own and send them the bill and wait to be reimbursed. So after the key and programming im prob out $125-175 of my pocket while i want for them to reimburse me. I don't really mind getting a case only as I am the only one who drives the car. So having three i keys just means two sit in the drawer next to the valet key and wallet key. Plus I don't want to go to dealer

So does anyone know of anyone that sells outer cases? He'll all I really need is the unlock button

Prob order one of these sleeves for protection as well

The key...next to my other never used ikey remote. In fact, the battery in the 2nd remote is dead and has been for a while. I really wish i just had the button. it would prob snap back into place. I'd rather keep the "beat up" key in my pocket vs use the new key for some reason. I'm still using the broken key fob...i never hit the buttons anyway

Thanks. Tried some different search terms and found used cut keys for sale for cheap. Got a bid riding on one for under $10. Just get it and swap in my key and electronics and call it a day.

Then I'll send them a copy of the invoice

I would get a quote from Infiniti to replace it and send that to them. Teach them that breaking other peoples **** can be expensive...

They need invoice...so I'd need to actually fix it first then send them the bill.

I took the easy way out. Purchased a used remote on eBay for $10. Swap the case and call it a day.

I don't need another remote that I'll never use, and i don't want to take a day off from work to go to the dealer. My time is valuable so just swapping the case is quick and easy to me.
