I replaced one of my belts about three or four months ago and now when I start my car the belt makes a loud squealing noise that eventually goes away. Sometimes if I turn my car off and then turn it back on it will stop but I don't like doing that. This is a stick 6 speed as well and when the loud squealing is going on while I'm driving the pitch of the sound gets higher as I shift and I can also feel a difference when it stops. Please help, what could be wrong?? I am going to get it looked at here shortly. Thanks

 

The main belt has stretched a bit and loosened. You need to tighten up a little.

 

also check your ac bearings had same problem and it was that.. or some other bearing

 

Mine does this too though both belts seem fairly tight enough. Any suggestions?
