07 G35X no navi - aftermarket sound

hello all, new member, have had my 07 G35X for about 7 months and I am looking to install an aftermarket stereo system, tweets, mids and a subwoofer, not sure where to start, I have done a lot of research on this and the hickup is with the OEM amp(s). I would like to ultimately use my OEM head-unit and replace all the tweets and speakers and sub, and start fresh. Any thoughts on how I can accomplish this, in terms of size of speakers, tweets and the size of the subwoofer that are in the OEM car right now. Thanks all.

if you are gonna keep your OEM headunit you need a LOC (line output converter)

these range from $30 - $1000+

whats your overall budget and goal?

id say write everything down and set a good budget, considering you want new everything pretty much.

are you doing this your self? If not dont forget labor prices

hey Blaze, thanks so much for the reply, yes I do plan on keeping the OEM headunit, and no I do not plan on doing the install myself, I have a really good guy that has helped me with my Acura install. Can I just replace the subwoofer in the back rack with a 10 inch aftermarket subwoofer? Thanks again. Cheers.

you cant put a 10" in the rear deck unless you run a shallow mount sub in a really tight enclosure

if your worried about a space a 10" or 8" sub would be your best bet

I got mine on ebay for about 5 dollars. But you definitely get what you pay for.
I was a low budget high school student then so it worked for me.

Just make sure you don't skimp in any one area. ex. if you get nice speakers get a nice sub or vise versa. otherwise it will just sound a bit off.
