G35x 04 electrical problem help appreciated

Today went to start my car and it started up just fine, went back into the house to let it warm up, I just walk in and I hear my fan turn on (remind u car is cold sat over night) so I run outside, before turnin the car off I noticed all the dash lights are on, abs, awd, slip, but no check eng light, and by the tach where it shows PRND (its an auto) its just blank. So I just shut the car off, wait a minute, and turn it on again, and same thing, all the dash lights come on, cooling fans on, and an addition, my headlights turn themselves on by theirselves, (I don't have daytime running lights). So I just shut the car off and here I am enraged. Anyone know what this could be if they have heard of something simuliar? Thank you

all those lights might be triggered by your serp belt breaking or your alternator going bad. In return since your car is expecting about 14 volts running and its only getting 12 volts off the battery alone it could be acting in weird ways.

Look at the belt right in front of the engine to make sure both are still there in place and dont have too much sloop. If you have a voltage meter, check to see if your getting 14.4v average with the car running.

Report back and we can go from there.

the belt as long as its still on and looks working thats all that it needs to be for now.

so you have a 2nd battery in the trunk wired to the main battery in the engine bay. They are hooked up like a branch? So if there is a drain it could take both out, the alternator is powering the 2nd battery as well since its hooked up the battery.

normally all the lights show up because your altnator is no charging. take the 2nd battery off and measure voltage.

Tested the voltage, with both batterys and its like 14.6-14.7 so my alternators fine (I was hopin it was the alternator) idk what to do now.
