Salvage g35 - how to tell frame damage??

Hi, I just bought an 04 infiniti g35 with a salvage title. It was a side impact and the pass door was replaced and part of the quarter panel also replaced. How would I know if it had frame dmg? The auto check said none, it drives straight and feels real smooth. What can I look for? Will my tires wear differently? I looked online and it said to look for frame clamp marks but what does that look like??

Any help is appreciated! Thx!

put the car on a left .. or jack it up .l..

if theres allot of welding or bent or curv or the frame then u know

( a little advice .. if your not a 100% sure on salvage title. i wouldnt recom. buying them)

they have a issue of having trouble down the line

some do ..

some dont

but heads up

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing underneath my car, is the frame those long pipe looking things that curve? Or there's like straight gray bars type things? Sorry! I'm a girl and I'm not too car savvy. I did have a friend who works on cars look at it before I bought but I want to see for myself.

Those long pipe looking things that curve will be your exhaust Don't worry if the car drives straight and feels smooth most likely there isn't any frame damage.

Welcome, you found the right place to learn all about your car.
Did you have any shops check out the car prior to the purchase? Or just your friend?

Well just my friend but he used to do body work at a body shop a few years back and he buys salvage cars all the time. So I thought that was good enough, but I started noticing some creaking when I drive on the side where the impact was, kinda from the trunk :|

Just a note. It wouldn't necessarily require a an 04 to have frame damage to deem it a salvage. Given how low our cars are valued at now. Only a bodyshop is going to be able to tell what damage it had. That is if they actually care enough to inspect it well enough

I was told by my bodyshop after my accident & same question that most newer cars including G are unibody construction i.e. no frame rails like a truck, every part is dependent on each other Am I misinformed ?

Thats what I've heard, the car had a unibody frame. Am
I able to tell just by driving it? My car drives Soooo smooth, you would've never thought it had been in an accident. Also I wondered that, if it's deemed salvage that automatically meant it had frame damage?

they would still have a chasis im assuming ... im not sure.. but if it had any major problems

you would see some major welding work on it

and the squeaky noise is probaly ... the bushing going bad

it happens to our car allot

and i read on your other forum

that the crash was on the rear... well i would say if any car was hit majorly in the front end or rear. 2 be careful ...

front end because of motor.. motor displacement and such

and rear.. because our car are rear wheel drive .. and axel . can i 4 got the name of the part

but it looks like a long pole and it turns... and taht can also get messed up

but if you had someone check it out .. and everything was fine.. then

just for now drive it until something happens.
and if anything does happen go back to where you bought it

idk what laws u have in your state or country but depending
there could be a lemon law

but you have to remeber it is a salvage title..
so there were probaly selling as is
