It's a 2003 right? I'd bet one dollar the 3rd brake light doesn't work

Seems 90% of the 03/04's i see have them out

Glad everyones ok and that your car wasn't hurt! If it was my car, I would have held my guard and hoped the impact was enough to total it out haha Top dollar for the G ftw!
It was raining and she was prolly texting. We just passed a no texting/driving law just went into effect a couple of weeks ago.
If the kids weren't in the back, I prolly would have just braced for impact and hoped for the best (lol).

Not gonna take that bet, cause you'd win.

Well, at least I'm part of SOME majority!

Glad to hear that the family is ok Rob. Good thinking to lessen the impact. Hope your G has a speedy recovery.

Good thinking man. I always look in my rear view mirror too just in case some dumbass isn't paying attention and decides to rear end me. It's just annoying having to stay there and file the police report and getting your car repaired and all that stuff. But you had a kid in your car. Serious props to you.

Why would the 3rd brake light be such a determining factor? I would imagine our main LED tails should be bright and large enough for someone to see regardless of the 3rd.

I can't imagine that it really does, and I honestly don't think it would have altered the outcome if it were, in fact, working. There's a thread pushing for a third brake light recall. I submitted one just because it's there and I'd like it two work, but I think that the girl who hit me just wasn't paying attention.
