Anyone still on their winter tires?

Been on my blizzaks for 2 months. For tires that are supposed to be grippy on snow, they are sure squirrely on wet pavement. Anyone else notice this?

I'd be doing 360s if I didn't have the TC on. Even on/off ramps have me tiptoeing the throttle

Mine was never squirrely on wet roads. they did have some roll when on dry roads when taking tight turns fast... Not the best handling tires, but never an issue on wet roads unless I was just driving like a moron...

Wait.....

Maybe.... just maybe......

Maybe your driving like a moron.....

Vs posting like one?

But yeah, giving it 1/3 throttle(or less) is "driving like a moron". Good assement there

You don't notice any less traction in the wet?

Yes I'm an admin on .org

ahhahah....

1/3 throttle is all you need if your side stepping the clutch or in the case of a automatic sedan... neutral dropping it with the steering wheel cranked all the way.

WS-50s. 215-55-17s. Probably close to 6k on them now. I think they are getting a bit worn and don't have the same traction as they wear.

30PSI or so. Might be a tad high.

ahh ok. Those are def. squirmy tires but they are MUCH better in the snow. The LM-22's I have are a performance winter vs your Studless Ice/Snow tires.
I had the ws-50's on my 5.5Gen maxima before mounted on s14 5 lug rims in 16" and they were squirmy as hell and made an annoying humming sound over 45. BUT they were AWESOME in the snow.

Also, I just saw this last year, but you should bump up your tire pressure for your winter tires also

I ran my ws50's between 30-32 psi cold.

Obviously I am sure you know to check pressure with the tire cold. But maybe try checking it in the morning before you leave for work.
