I have 135,000 miles on my '05 G35x. I have not had any issues.
I do add a quart of oil 3,500 miles into my 7,500 mile change interval, but this has been going on since day one. I don't consider it an issue.

I've been following to the Schedule 2 Maintenance Guide.

The better you maintain it the fewer issues you will have. If you bought this car new and have maintained it well and have had few issues then just keep it up.

I got mine brand new back in '03. Since then no engine problems at all. However, this car goes through brakes like crazy. I had to replace the rotors several times, change brake pads once a year. Other than the brakes, the car is very solid. I'm at 59K miles. At 60K miles, probably need to change/replace all your fluids: coolant, transmission, power steering, brake fluid, etc...I just had all mind replace couple months ago. I'm very pro-active when it come to these things.

I have owned my 05 X for 2 1/2 years know and had a wiring problem back when I first bought it but since then I have had no problems at all besides burning through a quart of oil every 3k miles witch i believe is normal. and i have 98k miles on it now. never even had to replace brakes or anything yet.

one very important thing you need to pay attention to because it can cost you alot in future repairs, is check your headlight fluid! once it gets low it can cost thousands! if you dont have extended warranty

Anything can go wrong at any number of miles. The chances of it happening before 100k...not the highest. Do your maintenance and it'll be fine.

I've almost reached 98k in my 04x and I haven't had any mechanical issues. Proper maintenance will do wonders.

Only thing that I think is probable for you is compression rod bushings.
