It is with a Soundgate LOCB.2. It taps into the low level outputs from the head unit and converts balanced differential signals to single ended signals allowing you to plug in some RCA cables and hook up a second amp. It will even amplify or reduce the signal level

Too bad they stopped making them a few years back. I managed to find one used but it was a little tricky

It's straight forward. If you don't have an aftermarket deck you'll need someway to get rca's from the deck to the amp. Through ways such as a line output converter or something along those lines.

Other than that an amp install kit of wires. Power, ground, speaker wire, rca's etc.

Then after that run the wires, set up the sub/amp and you'll have bass.

Also I would consider running just one 12", unless you like not hearing. I had 2-12" and it was dumb

Lol 2 12's = deaf? I guess you have quality audio. I personally don't mess with audio and get it all installed. It's too hard to wire correctly.

I had by no means quality/expensive audio.

I ran two kenwood kfcw3011 if I remember that right, powered by an 1800 watt peak power amp. As for going deaf it was a figure of speech slightly. But when you can turn you music up and your ears start to hurt unbearably, your hair stats feeling weird, something is wrong. In my opinion it was WAY to loud. Obviously some of you will disagree, however, it just wasn't my thing.

As far as the audio getting installed and setup it actually isn't that hard. I do a lot of researching and like to learn new things. It's a good way to learn and saves you money. I have actually installed a few systems in friends cars and such too so it's a good deal.

I have become a more sound quality>loudness person. But don't get me wrong even a 10" properly powered sub will be perfectly loud to accompany casual listening.
