Just got back from the Tire Rack...
Maaaaaannn I forgot what it was like to drive on brand new tires! Feels great!
Something strange that confused me though: I tried to get the tires from Tire Rack through Midas, because I didn't feel like driving to South Bend. They were telling me the tires cost $148 through the Tire Rack wholesale site, when I was seeing $112 on the regular site... I even brought that up to the rep at Tire Rack and they didn't know why either. So I just went over to Tire Rack and had them install the tires. Shipping would have costed the same for the labor anyway.

Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum
They ride really smooth. Was doin 80 on i80/90 on the way home, no shake or vibration! I could feel the better grip just pulling out of Tire Rack at 15mph lol (my old tires were really bald.) I could see above Abe Lincolns head haha

Used tires are similiar to buying a used cell phone, used computer, TV and etc.
They can look just like new but at 50% cost. But as always you can be buying busted up items. You aren't getting a warranty with the stuff you buy. Ive never bought a new set of tires either. Bought rims with LIKE new tires.
Nice you got a good deal on tires. I guess they work for you in the winter. I personally dislike Kumho, nothing based off facts but i just dislike them. $500 installed i might consider them tho. I'm not too far from south bend either but going there means i pay taxes and pay them for mounting, I think they have a little higher cost like $20-25 a tire. VS my local shops that are $10-20
Basically I was just saying that I didn't want it like I don't want used mattress's and underwear lol
When I went shopping for my tires, all i could find was ridiculously priced used tires.
Unless you get a killer deal on used tires I would always buy tires new. And buy tires when they are running good deals/incentives helps too.

I usually wait to see if I can find a buy 3 get 1 free deal. But there was just nothing out there and I couldn't wait any longer.
Also, I was looking at the same tires on Sears web site and they listed the tires at $112 as well, but as soon as I put in my zip code to select the store the price jumped up to $148
I thought that was very strange.
