Car cuts off when idle

I'd appreciate any ideas about this. It seems to be getting worse. Additionally, it cut off while I was just driving slow not idle. There is no warning, no rocking, nothing. It just cuts off. I have a 2003 G35 sedan.

No engine light is coming on, so no one knows what the exact problem is. Please chime in.

I had something like this happen on my 5th gen 2001 maxima a few years ago. I ended up replacing the IACV as well as the entire throtle body assembly. I know it would be perfectly fine if I revved the car above idle (or 1000 RPMS) but the moment the rpms dropped to about 700-850 RPM range, the car would instantly shut off.

For me the symptoms were: I would cut the car on, take my foot off the gas and then the car would simply die on me. Ive never experienced this with my g35 however I would suggest air intake or idle air control before all else.

I know on my buddies Q45 the same thing had happene to him and then the car would just die. Well he had a tear in his rubber throttle body assembly. I believe it was the area directly AFTER THE MAF.

I know others would say to clean the MAF... as the first thing when I had my maxima. Well I tried that also and it didnt work, as I was till having the exact same symptoms.

I know with my maxima, since it was a "cable" throttle body, and not a drive by wire like the G's are. People were telling me to cleant the throttle body...But since our G cars are drive by wire that might be a different story.

I would do an intake i did it on mine and it worked fine after that, but keep doin research before you spend money. im not saying that the intake would solve it. just keep researching a bit more b4 spending money.

I'd clean the throttle body. Simple, cheap. It may do the trick.
