Thanks for the pics, Happy. The pics are very detail and clear. IMO, the 05 really looks much better than the 03 and 04 in terms of the body design. And the interior quality seems improved a lot as well. Among all of the pics, i love Pic 7 most. In fact, I thought that was a G35c!

Good job witht he pics man, in picture 1 i can honestly say the center console plastic material is hideous, cheap looking and disgusting but in the black it wasnt that bad! I also dont like the rounded bubbly rear and how the top of the rear (Trunk) looks wider then the bottom of the rear, hard to explain but i love how a car goes from narrow to WIDE like an M3, much sportier looking and aggressive!! Everything is pretty muchc ool, but i have a few dislikes, i'll take my 03.5 Nismo G any day over that!

iLLG35 , I think that is just the pic you saw, the shape of the G hasn't changed, it's still the same width as before I couldn't find the specs at Infiniti's website, it must be down right now, but persoanally I don't see what you mean. Also, why do you think the console looks cheap, that is supposed to be real aluminum, hmmmm.....

thanks a lot happy for these excellent quality pics. IMHO there are more changes that i dislike rather than like more than the 2004 sedans. my biggest disappointment is they got rid of the LEDs on the brake lights. WHY?? that was the G35s most unique characteristic at night. can spot one a mile away. also i am not too keen on the new rims. on the other hand i'm glad infiniti got smart and installed a cd/mp3 player and the front grill (black mesh) looks nice. the interior looks the same overall. i have an 04 6MT so i am looking forward to pics of the the new 05 6MTs. 298 hp instead of 260hp sounds awesome but there is a 200 lb increase in weight for the 05 6MTs. i think i am happy with my 04 sedan 6MT. thanks again for the photos

 

I was at my dealer today and saw the new 2005 G35 coming off the truck i waited a bit to check them out

One thing. i was not impressed with the car at all. The dash looks like crap cheap love the 04 better. Another thing that really bothers me is where the two [censored] two cigarette lighter went to. And now they have this button on the back of the car that doesn't work to open the trunk oh maybe was me
Head light OMG they look gay D++++++++++++++

Tail lights A+++++++++ they looks sickkk gotta have it
body kit A++++++++ grill A++++++++

 

Overall, I would say Infiniti did a nice job on the new changes..
Nothing too drastic.. That's for their next gen. G35 anyway.

In response to KTG35envy - about the tail lights..
They are still fitted and actuated w/ LED's.
The housing design is the only difference.
Instead of the row of LED's that the 03 - 04 consist of..
They (each tail lamp) emit 2 circular patterns now for
the 05's. Similar to the coupes basically..

There's also a slight bulge from the exterior of the tail lamp.
Noticeable but not in a bad way.. I took a few pics of the tails
just to show the definition of that "slight bulge"..

I'll take some more detailed pics when the 6MT arrives..

Happy.....Sincerely, Thank you for the time and effort you gave to take and then post these pics. They have confirmed what ever other picture I have seen of the 05's has lead me to believe......Bleeeeecchhh!!!

The new front end looks dismally cheap, and looks much cheaper to manufacture.....I suspect that was one reason they changed it. Hate the tail lights more and more now that you have posted such excellent clear pictures of them. They are a step backwards lighted up, and unlighted as well. The clock in the dash looks ok when the car is not running, but looks very odd when surrounded by the digital display lights when car is running. The shifter and shift plate and boot look too feminine in my opinion, unless of course you are a woman, and then it is just right. The aluminum door trim does look better than the old plastic Faux-Titanium trim, but I much prefer wood so the aluminum isn't really an option I would have chosen anyway. The guages look horrible and cheap unlighted, I can only hope they look MUCH better when lighted.

I can honestly say there is no way I would buy another sedan unless/until Infiniti does another design change.....overall the new changes leave me cold. If I am to stay with Infiniti, I will have to buy a coupe if I choose to get a newer car anytime soon.
