It looks like the 5AT has lost the Manumatic mode. It this true?

No. It's just less obvious from the pictures. It still has the MM mode...just a quick flip to the right and it shows the + and - for up and down gears. I think if they did away with the MM mode, people would be pissed and it would be a serious mistake...that's one of the best parts of the 5AT! ;-)

I don't care whether it is Brilliant Silver or not, ABQ - the new design changes just don't do it for me. : )
As to being faster, we have been through this before. The difference if any, will be minimal due to the increased weight.
Dirtybear, you guys go ahead and enjoy your bloated, cheap looking front-ended, google-eyed rear-ended, '05 G35 sedans. Sorry you can't get a good looking G anymore. ; )

I'm just sharper and my brain works much faster than yours. I have already processed the images and realized the changes are a step backwards...You will realize it too, at your own lethargic pace. ; )
BTW, the new seven spoke rims look just like the wheel covers on my dad's '04 Camry......niiiiiice. Not!

Bloated? Give me a break, the G is still basically the same car, geez! The changes are minimal, you lose!

the curb weight of the 03-04 sedan is 3,336 lbs. the new weight for the 05 G sedan is 3,468 lbs for the AT and the MT is 3,512 lbs. so, the 05 is 100+ heavier than the 03-04 . . .
as for the rift between u guys and GeeSpot . . . dude, everyone has their own opinions, if someone doesn't like the the re-style let them be. not everyone likes it, some people do, some people can go either way . . . dont tell him what to feel, he feels his OWN way. no use getting mad at him because u can't make him see YOUR view. not everyone has to agree and theres no need to bash on each other just because someone doesn't agree with your opinions
show some maturity guys . . .

Re: 05 G35 Sedan's are in @ Miller Infiniti
GeeSpot...see, the difference is, I'm one (of many) who had a CHOICE between an 04 and an 05 and CHOSE the 05. You on the other hand bought your sedan long ago, and now (for whatever reason), you're choosing to lash out at the new 05 and anyone who chooses to praise its IMPROVEMENTS.
You're the type of person who probably laughed when the Compact Disc came out. "The thing skips so easily". "My tape player never does that". "Sound quality? Sounds the same as my 8-track".
Well, I guess that's just the type of person you are. Maybe some therapy would help. Maybe not.
And btw, the new sedan 17" wheels are the coupe's 18" wheels. But based on your [bad] taste, you probably think the coupe's 18" wheels are ugly too.
I feel sorry for you.

Matt, while I respectfully respect your view, I must make my point.
GeeSpot is nothing more than a sour-grapes G Sedan owner who is so upset at the 05 changes that he must bash it in EVERY SINGLE thread regarding the 05. In other forums, he'd be labelled a troll and banned. It's like me going into an Acura TL forum and taking shots on the new TL (as a previous generation TL owner).
Sure, everyone has an opinion. But I say Christina Aguilera is better looking than Whoopie Goldberg. Is it an opinion? Sure it is. Ask GeeSpot, and he'll prefer the Whoopster.

How come all of the nice pics are from Japan?
I really love the 350GT pics on nissan.co.jp.... they look much better than the ones on infiniti.com

Re: 05 G35 Sedan's are in @ Miller Infiniti
i like the 05 body work....particularily how the side rocker panels and underbody are painted....looks sweet....but as for the new gauges, tailights, and shifter....those actually look worse in my opinion....gosh the shifter is so ugly!....and i like having my cassette deck becuase i need it for my Ipod....the new Mp3 feature is kool....but then again i use my Ipod....o yea the new 17 inch wheels look sweeet!....i hope some people sell their stock body kits and wheels for cheap off their 05 sedans....i really want that......As for the additional 20 hp....doesnt really mean much due to the 100 lb weight increase.....all in all....the G35 is a great car regardless of the model year....

Yeah, did you see the skyline.nissan.co.jp site also? Pretty cool stuff. There's even a special Skyline DVD. You can view the trailer, but I don't think we here in the USA can order one -- not that I can read the order form anyways.

Re: 05 G35 Sedan's are in @ Miller Infiniti
First, I don't understand the difference in me "bashing" the new sedan and you praising the new sedan in every thread. We are both merely offering our opinions. You just don't like my opinion, and that is OK too.
I am no flamer, I OWN a G35, and one of the pretty ones, at that ; ). You are almost right about one thing, I am somewhat upset that Infiniti would take a great looking car and mess it up so quickly. I suppose i shouldn't be, because it will mean less of the better looking body style will be on the roads, but i may want to buy another one at some point and would NOT buy one of the new ones. I would definitely have to go coupe next time unless Infiniti fixes what they messed up.
I comment negatively on those things I don't like and positively on those things I do like. I don't have a problem with new things, but I am dissappointed when "progress" diminishes a product that was superior in some aspects prior to the revision. This is the case with the G35 sedan. There are some changes I like - MP3 and more horsies are nice, and as I stated before, the aluminum trim is nicer than the old painted Faux-Titanium. The external changes are awful, and I doubt time will change that opinion. More weight is not a good thing in my book. The coupe 18" wheels look great, but they don't work nearly so well as 17" on the sedan. They look very much like my Dad's Camry wheel covers. I am sure we will continue to disagree on this, but let's not be disagreeable. : )
