while the clutch is very heavy the fluid looks new, I will keep an eye on it though thank you!

bit of an update, i checked the oil after the car sat for a few hours and its still full after 600 miles, will keep an eye on it and still bring it to the dealer for the OC test asap. ordered rotors and EBC YELLOW pads to put on this weekend or next, i think that will be a nice easy first project for the car. any thing special about a pad and rotor job on these cars?

Congrats on the recent purchase. Would you mind updating us about how you like those EBC Yellow pads for daily use? Thanks.

sure thing, I probably will get them in not this weekend but next. I wanted PBR ult's but it seems front pads for the 05's are hard to find. I'm not a fan of HAWK, and feel like I'm taking a bit of a chance with EBC. what are popular performance (but not track) rotor friendly pads?

I have Axxis/PBR ULT and those things are just awesome for the streets. Why did you choose EBC yellow? Those things are designated as track pads...

maybe I will be swapping pads soon...I called 2 places that told me the rear pads fit but they don't have any front pads in stock for the 05's... so i asked him for a similar pad and this is what he recommended.

Wow. That sounds crazy. I have no experience with the yellows but I will tell you I absolutely hated the greens (comparied to oem) on my sis' Subaru. And the greens are made more for daily street use! No initial bite at all.

If you want a similar pad to the Axxis/PBR ULT I would definitely go with Stoptech Streetperformance pads. You'll find I have posted it over and over on other brake threads, but it's definitely a great street pad. Bites hard even when cold and wet.

Since you were willing to gamble on the yellows why not try a Beck/Arnley or Wagner semi metallic pad? Anything semi metallic will supposedly grab until your eyeballs pop out. At least they may be cheaper than a racepad.

I agree with you i tried EBC before the formula change years ago and didn't like them. I also went through porterfield and HAWK. I have had good luck with the ULT's and carbotech.

I could be throwing $ away on the yellows... My dad's daily is an E39 he had a shop find pads for the car and ended up with EBC reds they seemed to work but not surprisingly didn't last all that long
