Got smashed in standstill traffic yesterday
Hey guys our 03 Sedan got hit yesterday in standstill traffic yesterday by a Jeep Wrangler. The appraiser came this morning and said that it would cost $3432.59 this seems alittle bit low to me what do you guys think??? The car is 03 Sedan w/Aero kit with 124k on it idk if that matters
Thanks

The adjuster just writes an estimate for what they can see. When the car gets to a shop they'll start taking the car apart and find additional damage.
This is especially true if the estiamte was done at your house.
Nice plaid paints.
Hope you're alright.

Hahah I just woke up this was at like 7 this morning. And my dad was driving it his back and neck are both sore. But I did notice the car does a big clunk when changing from reverse to drive and park that was never there..could this be something from the accident?

make sure you bring that up when the car is taken to a repair shop/garage (clunking), also make sure those fools pay for your deductible and notify your insurance company of the problems as well and you could have the adjuster come out once the car is up so the mechanic and adjuster and go through it together to make sure you come out on top. and your title will be salvage/rebuilt hope you werent looking to sell. Im sorry about the car and your father. Hope all is well and everything gets better.

Sucks to see your G in that state. That kinda seems low for how many panels are smashed up, imo.

The adjusters purposely write low estimates hoping you will take the money and run.
IT *always* costs more to repair it, but they will cover the differance, it is just a game they play. I had an adjuster tell me this when I had a hail claim. I was considering taking the money and leaving the car damaged, but the estimate was too low.
As someone mentioned it is impossible to know the extent of the damage without remoivng the bumper, etc. and they wont do that untill you are at the body shop.
