'04 G35x Grinding noise when accelerating..help!
Hi guys.
I'm new, be nice to me. I recently acquired a 2004 G35x and I have had it for 3 months. However about 2-3 weeks ago, I've noticed a grinding noise coming from the front driver's side wheel area when I accelerate from a stop. Also, this noise gets even worse when the car shifts at about 2500rpm and the noise begins to level off when speed is picked up. What confuses me even more is the fact that this problem/annoyance is nonexistent when it is wet and rainy out, and sometimes the noise doesn't happen at all. Also, this only happens when the car is in motion, never when in park or neutral.
Metal on metal, or at least the sound of it does not excite me, and I would love some answers. If anyone has any info to offer, PLEASE I BEG YOU!

Thanks,
-Skii

I'm hoping that's all it is! She's got 84,000 with a fresh oil change.
And I vaguely remember having a noise like this in the same area on my '01 i30 from a bad ball joint. Hoping its just as easy of a fix.

could be wheel hub
could be a stuck caliper bolt and its making the sounds once your car hits the ground at a certain angle you should check it out, make sure you take the caliper off and see if the bolts go easily in and out if not spray some wd40 in it clean it out and then grease it up and the brakes will run freely and might fix ur problem
