My Poor G Got Hit Yesterday...
I think the rear door probably hit the intrusion beam, so it's likely a new door for the rear. front will almost certainly just be repaired.
Cars can be fixed. Glad 1: no one was hurt and 2: the guy stayed.

Well, I have some news - the G is finally going into the shop on Monday. The adjuster came last week and wrote it up for new skins, new trim, and to respray the whole side to blend the paint. The body shop got all the parts in this week, so once they get the rear door skin off I guess they will see if they need to work the frame at all or replace it if necessary. They may also have to replace the front door handle since it only works once in a while. They're also hooking me up with a full-size rental car, so I requested a Charger. At least it's RWD, so it should be entertaining.
Meanwhile, my rear DG splashguards and JDM clears arrived, so I will install the mods once she's home from the body shop. The search is on for DG front splashguards and a Z-tube.
I'll keep you guys posted!

Skins FTL! You're insurance should have paid for doors!
Get on their case and if it isn't absolutely 110% perfect, gripe and make them fix it!
These insurance companies need to not cheap out on stuff. I see cop-out repairs all to often.
Hopefully everything turns out right with your doors man. I wish you the best.

Yeah, if it's not your insurance, I would for SURE press the issue if there's any issue at all.
Also, are you sure they're aluminum? OEM is steel I'm 99% sure

I don't know for certain, but the guy at the first body shop I stopped at told me they were aluminum skins. And, so far neither door shows signs of rusting even after being out in the rain and snow for the last couple of weeks. The crease on the upper part of the rear door is right down to bare metal (whatever metal it is LOL). I should try sticking a small magnet to it just to confirm.

She's Back!!!!
Woohooo!!! I'm so psyched, I picked the car up this afternoon and it came out great!!! Here's a few pics of the finished job. I also had them install the OEM rear splashguards I picked up from another member since the car was apart for paint anyway. Now I gotta order one of those M3 trunk lips off Ebay.

I'm on vacation next week so I'm planning to install JDM clears and getting the windows tinted. Let me know what you guys think!
