Ya, thanks, \i have some back twinges but OK. It was a close call, I thought they were going to total it, but in the end they decided to fix. Big big relief! I've been driving a freakin Ford Fuzion . . . . .

Damn, sorry to see that happened to your DG! Glad to hear you were OK, that looked like a hard hit! I'm kinda surprised they're fixing the car too, that's some serious damage - trunk floor, quarter panels, trunk, lights, impact bar, etc. all needs to be replaced. My estimate was almost 3K and that was just to fix the two doors and repaint the left side, I can't even imagine how expensive the bill will be to fix yours!

The estimate ended up at $11,800. And that's Cauckbucks - not those tiny US Bucks! It was a close call. They called in the adjuster from State Farm to make the call. I was already calculating how much to demand for a write-off and how to buy it back and get it fixed on the side. Thankfully I don't have to go down that road. It took me months to find the right car (I needed an x) with the right mileage and the right price.

But I'll say one thing - I'm more eager to get it back than I was even before i got it the first time!

I know how you feel!! The shop had my car for almost two weeks, and I got a 4x4 Dodge Nitro for a rental. What a top-heavy tank that thing is! I was soooooo glad to get back into my G yesterday!

I thought about shaving the moldings, but then they would have had to do the other side and I didn't have deep enough pockets to pay to have the other side painted. This side was a freebie since I went though the other guy's insurance.

Oh, I'm also a Bergen County guy, so maybe I'll see you at a meet this summer if there's anything going on that I can make it out to.

Even if you only did one side first or 1 side for good it's worth it since you can never see both sides of the car at the same time. I know a guy with an 08 M3 that did his rims in silver one side and dark gray on the other side. Since you could never see both sides at the same time, it's like he has 2 sets of wheels "hey did u see the m3 with the silver wheels? No dude but I saw one with gray wheels that was sick too" lol
