2005 G35 - Battery drain - Bose - DIY Fix?
Thats exactly the DIY that I used! Basically the same disc player that is in the G. Take specific note in his picture where the inner ribbon cable is the problem. I did the repair I had nothing to lose. Apparently the cable gets worn and the contacts either separate causing channnel loss or touch each other causing amperage draw(short). I can't comment on what the repair shops do, they say they use upgraded parts! to fix problem. But I read several people had thier changer repaired only for it to have problems in a year or so later.
As NFSP G35 stated in the 3rd post he removed his cd head unit and the power drain was fixed. If you're feeling adventurous and want to save a couple of bucks, PM me and I can get you the service manual (10.2 mb file).
Bose radio
is it the service manual for the radio or the car, if it is for the radio I am interested if you still have it
