my silver upper part moves up and down i little bit when i charge from p to D as an example,,,,, do they all float like this?

 

Mine shifted like that too. I had Infiniti replace the surrounding finishing pieces for yellow and mentioned the shifting of the plate. They just put some double sided tape and felt underneath the plate where it cannot be seen then no more issues.

 

80K miles on my car and the upper plate has never moved.

 

it's amazing how many AT owners like the phallic symbol shifters
