Gas Mileage

I have an 04 g35x, with a tank thats about 17 gallons. I generally get 260/270 miles to the tank, but today I was able to get 300. I was talking to a man who worked at Costco, and he said I should be getting at least 300 miles to a tank. I buy premium gas. How many miles are you able to put on a tank of gas?

Tank is 20 gal, not 17.
Measuring miles/tank is near-meaningless.

Fuel economy is measured in Miles per Gallon.

Spent $225
Rev-Up Box $65
Z-Intake (Tube + Box) $40
SxExCx V2 Kit $120

Made Back $80
G-Tube + Non-Revup $60
Z-Box $20

So it only cost me $145 since I had to buy a new filter ($40) regardless of the upgrades, The V2 kit alone is $150 but Sean was doing a special on it. I got the kit to try and eliminate the lag in shifting from 2-3 in tiptronic, the additional voltage cleanup was a bonus, since it probably created a better spark. I just bought a MD 5/16 spacer for $125.

OP, as of this past weekend, 25-28 highway (~500-540 per tank) in extremely hilly western PA or WV. In the flats of FL or NE, it may go up to 29-30 (~580 per tank). City=19-21 mpg.

No mods with the exception of running 235/55/17 tires.

I go about 400+ to every tank regularly. Been averaging 24 mpg with a 60/40 mix of hwy/city driving since I got the car a few years ago.

Warmer temps and the fact that the oxygenated winter fuels are off the market is the likely reason for the 10% increase in MPG.

400-420 miles before I fill up. I always divide my miles by the amount I just pumped in and I usually go to the same gas station... usually the same pump.

But I have to ask, why are you taking advice from someone at Costco? That's like taking parental advice from someone at McDonalds.
