So is this classic clutch slipping?
Bought this car with slightly less then 30k miles on it and just now got to 43k miles. I don't even drive the car hard and don't make long trips and now it seems the clutch is going. I've heard these cars can need it replaced at about 50k if driven like ****.
This vehicle was a lease vehicle so its possible the guy before drove it like hell but that'd still mean most of the damage was done previous to 30k which is pretty impressive to burn out a clutch that quick.
Anyhow doesn't really matter what gear I am in....when i accelerate the car jumps 1k-1.5k rpm and drops back down before engaging.
Rest of car seems to be good...but wanted to get your guys opinion.

Hey Blue. Pretty impressive this *** managed to dog the clutch that hard that its going at 43k. What's your suggestion on what to replace it with? I really don't have money to be going crazy with this..just got new tires and now this happens (feels never ending but whatever).
Its stock pretty much so is the ACT street + flywheel my best bet?
I hear people say to replace both at the same time.

OP, getting a LTW flywheel will be great if you need to replace the clutch. I have a 5AT, but after switching to an LTW flywheel on my old car, it was night and day in 1st and 2nd. It felt MUCH quicker. Hopefully the install won't cost too much.
