z tube question

z tube question

i know a lot of you guys did the z tube upgrade. i installed mines and the plug that goes in the back of the tube now touches the engine bay. was wondering if its normal or do i have to adjusted it more.

What "plug"? Are you referring to the MAF sensor or one of the hoses? I don't think I had any clearance issues besides my tube being a tad close to my aluminum AC lines...

the hose in the back that goes on the tube. not the sensor in the front

Never really heard of this issue. You may have to loosen the clamps and move it around a little so it doesn't rub. Look for some pics to see how others have positioned their tubes. Mine won't do you any good cuz it's different (no 'plug').

not sure what kind of z tube it is. got it free from a guy when i visited one of the shops and i forgot to ask him what kind is it. but the hose thats touchin is the hose that plug in the z tube

is it bad to have it touch though? or it wont be a problem..

looks like the hose is touching the little area where the brake fluid is... i don't see any real issues with it touching but mine doesn't touch.

My hose is under the Z-tube(at the bottom), totally hidden. Try turning entire tube a bit clockwise.

Judging by that pic, it looks like you have an OEM tube, I have the stillen tube, and it has more of a texture, whereas yours looks smooth, but yeah, either turn the tube a little more towards the driver side, or play with the hose a bit and get it to sit better, i had to mess with mine i bit to get it to go under the tube and not rub like that.
