I want to get eextended wheel studs to make the wheels poke out a lil more with wheel spacers..or can I run spacers with stock studs?
what do you guys recommend?

Ichiba V2 comes with studs... I wouldn't run spacers with stock studs!

I know a couple dudes on here that bought the hubcentric ebay spacers, and they had no problems. I'm really skeptical about using spacers. How likely is it for the studs to break and your wheels go flying?

 

It all depends on the size of the spacer and how much thread remains on the stock studs... I know studs must be really hard to break but who knows...

I don't want to suggest something that is not safe!

You need to check your wheels to see if the V2's will work, I don't have the "pockets" on my wheels, so I had to go with V1 which includes extended lugs that have to be swapped. There is good info on spacers here, I just went through this process myself, do some research on the site and know what you are buying. I am very pleased with the way mine turned out. Good luck

Oh and just PM some vendors for spacer pricing, they will give you the best deal, and have a trust-worthy presence here, unlike an unknown Ebay vendor.

 

The safer route would be to go with extended studs, meaning you take out your current ones and replace with longer ones. That's how the H&R spacers are like. But you can go with ones that have built in studs and those will work too (from Ichiba) but you have to make sure the wheels have pockets or an open area for the extra studs to go in, otherwise you will need ones with extended studs. I wouldn't go with the Ichiba V1's because I've heard of horror stories with those studs breaking.

 

I got my Ichiba V2's here on the forum from a Vendor.

 

Say whaaaa? I just installed V1's... now Im gonna be nervous as hell..

 

I'm not saying it's bound to happen, but there have been issues in the past. Most people have been fine with them, but some had some issues. You can always get different studs in the length you need. I think my350z has a thread on extended studs or something.

 

Ok I'll have to look into some quality studs, thought the Ichiba's would be quality.. Damn, now I cant help but be a little paranoid.. I would hate to be cruising down the highway and get passed by one of my wheels...
