Question blown factory sub replacement cheap.

the factory Bose sub woofer in my 03 sedan is blown and a oem replacement part cost $455. I have looked around on the forums here and have seen little to no answers on a good replacement 2ohm 8 inch to swap out with.

How can you tell if it's blown?

I made a thread over in the audio forum and didn't get much input. When I fade the stereo in my 06 to full rear, the center sub doesn't really provide much bass. The door speakers are much louder. There is some sound from the center sub...but it's pretty quiet in comparison to the other 6 speakers

Get a piece of printer paper, put it on the woofer and then play a song with bass, you should see it dancing all over the place.

Btw Moving the fade all the way forward and back, the woofer still worked.

Woah, $455 for that one speaker? That's nuts.

Put a dollar bill on it and it jumped around pretty good. Still doesn't seem like I hear much from it though
