Who has a drawing or photo of the parking brake switch? My damn brake light is on all the time unless I lift up on the parking brake. Well, now it doesn't even do that I can't find anything that the brake engages to shut that light off.

 

if u get down under ur steering wheel ull see a little black box with a little plastic piece that sticks out nd when ur foot pedal touches it ..the light shuts off..just take that box and slide it down...sometimes when my feet r wet and my foot slips off the ebrake pedal it will knock it up causing the light to stay on all the time

 

I'm not in front of the car now, but I think I remember seeing the black box, but I don't remember seeing a plastic piece sticking out of it. Uh oh.

 

its like a little button that sticks out and when pressed the light shuts off..its very small use a flash light and use ur hand to guide up the pedal then u should see it...just slide the box down

 

I accidentally broke that switch when my foot slipped off the e-brake pedal and sprung up fast. Its just a momentary contact switch that illumates the light when not pushed in.

The clip that held the swich in place broke...I just ended up disconnecting the wires connected to it and the light is now off for good. I just got to remember when I engage the parking brake..
