Re: Burnout lil help please

Quit trying to destroy your dad`s car! He bought AWD because of the traction! Not likely to burnout with traction on all 4 wheels .

Re: Burnout lil help please

shift to neutral, rev the engine to about 6000 rpms, then quickly throw it into first (or drive). that should get your wheels spinning nicely!!
same theory with motorcycles and wheelies. shirt to neutral and rev the bike til it hits the rev limiter and dump the clutch into first. garunteed you'll loft the front wheel!

oh, dont bother sending me the bill for your new transmission

Drop shifting is a good way to kill your tranny. I used to do burnouts with my cougar but needless to say the same methods won't apply since it's "x" Oh well ...

Of course it's my car, that car belonges to me for the first 45,000 miles after that i am using the bank's car. I am paying to use that car, i am doing maintanance on it, therefore it's mine i just bypased the hassle of selling it after i get sick of it

Re: Burnout lil help please

Frankly, I don't care if you do want to do burnouts but you're wrong about who owns the car. Check your title and registration. It will say very clearly their that the leinholder (ie legal owner) is your leasing company. Same for me, except I bought mine using Infiniti credit and in my case the leinholder is Infiniti Financing.

I think the message people have been trying to send is that you could damage the car by trying some of these methods for doing "burnouts" and if you do, you'll be responsible for repairing that damage. Doing burnouts could be an expensive little bit of "fun".

That's why i said i don't want to drop shift i appreciate the criticism, just not the attitude.
Since it's not a true "all wheel drive" as in it kicks in when needed unless you engage the snow mode, i was wondering if there was a way to bypass the awd from kicking in and just do it in RWD mode. I guess there isn;t

Re: Burnout lil help please

The AWD can distribute 100% of the torque to the rear wheels, but it automatically starts with 25% to the front. Also, if it senses wheelspin, it transfers more torque forward, meaning it is essentially impossible to do a burnout.

Re: Burnout lil help please

1) Turn off ASR

2) Get you some bridgestone Turenza EL42s. They suck.

3) Wheeeeee!

Re: Burnout lil help please

get nitrous...

Seriously though, the only time I've been able to spin at both ends was when it was raining and I floored it around a corner with the vdc off (DO NOT ATTEMPT!!!)

This car has mad traction....you want to do a burnout? Get a loaner.
