At the track again...

Well since the last time I went I have installed a JUN flywheel and the Crawford Intake Man. They both mad a HUGE diffrence.. This is my second time at the track but the first time at the 1.. I didnt even see the tree.. As i pulled up the guy asks for my green ticket as i soon realize my GF has it... Grrrr so I pulled to the side and had to run around like an idiot to find her in the crowd.. Finally got it and rushed to the burnout area.. I pulled up to the line and look up and notice the tree is counting down already!!! I was like WTF!! So I launched at 800 Rpms (my new ideal) I bogged and wound up with this.

R/T .680
60' 2.194
330 6.045
1/8 9.201
MPH 78.45
1000 11.898
1/4 14.193
MPH 98.51

SO I figure with a launch (im not even going to say better as i didnt even launch) I should be right around 13.9ish with noooo prob at all maybe a lil better..

I only got 1 run in as it started to rain and the rest of the event got canceled..

Re: At the track again...

infidsg35,
Great run considering you left the line at 800rpm, Wow.
How much was the Installation Charge on the New Flywheel?
Thanks,
RugRatCoupe

Re: At the track again...

Well I had it installed when I got my Trans replaced.. I know the service manager and he installed it for free.. Since it was hardly any extra work since the trans was already out..

Re: At the track again...

Thanx for the comp.. For breakin all I did was ummm nothing.. I went to just about redline when I had to and did not baby it. I would give it a run once and a while but others just drive normal (give it a rest and baby it if you will).. But then again our motors are broken in in japan before they drop the motor in the car.. As far as oil change I changed it at 1500 miles with Mobil 1... Hope this helps..

Re: At the track again...

I thot one of the posts sed the engine wasn't run too much in Japan, thtz why the break in period is so much (1300 or so miles)...

Re: At the track again...

I was told by my service manager(my friend) that they were broken in.. He said Infiniti service guys some have to go to Japan and see how the car is made.. So they are the ones to report this.. Reason they do it is so people dont buy a fast car and dont breakin and screw up there car...

Re: At the track again...

Has anyone been going to the track to race their G35s on the full course, not just down the 1320? I'm curious to see how it would perform since it's relatively heavy but has good power/torque.
