Egg Smell.

Lately when I get out of my car, while the car is on, I can smell this egg scent coming from underneath my car. Anyone had this problem and fixed it? I drive a 2004 G35x sedan.

Not necessarily. You could just have a leak around The Cat. try replacing the gaskets first. If your cat is the culprit, you'll have some funky idling and slow throttle response with poor gas mileage.

Under heavy throttle, a little egg smell (sulfur) is normal. Egg smell from Idling and normal driving means leak or bad cat.

Not necessarily.
I have never had an egg (sulfer) smell under heavy throttle with a good cat. Ive gone through my fair share of cats (12+) mostly due to a rich condition caused by F/I.

OP, if you have the means check out the gaskets, but I believe that you will find that that cat is the culprit.

Gaskets deteriate over time so alittle sulfur smell under hard acceleration will be noticed. Pathfinder, 4runner even my dads old es300 did it.

Rotten egg smell is entirely normal. The cats are working fine.

OP, check your warranty. I think the cats are covered under an 8 year/ 80k mile warranty. If your under that, the dealer should replace them at no charge. I didn't have to pay for mine when I had an issue with them.

Probably, unless you live in a state that goes by CARB rules.
