coupe to sedan questions

I’m looking to swap from my 03 coupe to an 06 sedan - possibly a manual if i can find one.

I’ll be throwing the 19’s on the new whip. (putting the 17s back on the coupe)

I really just need a little more space than the coupe offers. and i daily drive my G so its time for things to be a little more functional. any particular things to look out for or packages in the sedans??

I may steer away from a G in general - but its where my hearts at. any other suggestions - i know were on a G website but dont be rude. if you have suggestions thanks, if you dont just keep rude comments to yourself.

1. I give you props for switching from a coupe to sedan. Not a lot of coupe guys would ever consider doing that. One guy even went as far to say that he would rather have a new Camry than a G sedan...

2. Look for a premium package 06. Then you can get intelligent key, bluetooth, memory seats, etc.

3. Make sure if it is a 6mt that it isn't an oil burner.

Dunno what else you want to know. Packages and everything are the same on the coupes and sedans.

I have an 06 sedan. 50k miles. Fully loaded, intelligent key, the whole nine. I have had numerous people ask if my car is new. And I got it for around 15k. I'd say its a great deal and a pretty fun sedan too.

I thought that the 06 6MTs didn't have the iKey?

Anyway, welcome OP...

+1 to what Janik (Wannabe6MT) said.

Biggest thing you have to watch with the Sedan is the humor runs a little darker

Awesome thanks guys. I’d like to find a sweet 06. just havent found any within my range right now. im not in a BIG hurry. but sooner the better. if i could find an auto 06 for 14-15k id be all over that. Im not too proud to admit in changing. when your refuse to make changes that will make things better - you usually end up losing out!! honestly i had considered a civic si sedan. but i love the G, hands down

I went from an 03 coupe to an 04 sedan X, and i miss the sportiness of the coupe, but as far as functionality and practicality, the sedan wins hands down. it's no longer a hassle to drive with more than 2 people in the car. the sedan seems to me seems to have the same amount of pep as well.

^Going from a coupe to sedan won't be a big problem... going from a coupe to a dumb-wheel-drive honduh? Yeah, that could be annoying

Camry over G sedan? I'd probably take a Buick over a Camry personally, lol.

Here's some things I remember every time I almost regret not getting a coupe:
1) You can fit a mexican family in the trunk. It's massive
2) It is much better balanced
3) No stupid window motors to break
4) Generally ignored by the police
5) It is lighter than the coupes
6) The 6MT's have rev-up motors for 05-06

5) and 6) combined make a 6mt sedan the fastest of the first generation stock G35's. For me the appeal is knowing I have a rwd 300hp sedan that no one expects. I get a big kick out of it. It'll be an srt4 or a civic si that will try and blast past me after taking off at a light because I shift really early, nothing like waiting until they're right at your door and rolling to WOT. Most of the time they look over with a scowl at the old man's sedan.

That and blipping down to second and putting your foot down, you're gone before anyone notices.

The coupe does this too, but it's a coupe, it isn't really a surprise when it happens.
When the young kid in what looks like his dad's car suddenly goes from the speed limit to 100+....like I said before, it's my favorite part about having a sedan: A sleeper, but definitely not sleepy.

^It does depend on how much you mod it though. At some point you kinda blow the 4dr camouflage.

Also doesn't make you invisible while doing 68 in a 45

Would not touch a 05/06 G or Z 6MT with a 10 foot pole. If you must have a 6MT, look at 03/04 G35s or save up and get a 2nd gen G35. Your chances of having to replace the short block on a Revup due to oil consumption is very high.
