Damn everything is too damned expensive
Look. I've been driving for a while, and I will tell you this, (especially with tint), the g35 sedan can be awkward to see out of sometimes. However, this is no excuse most of the time. The front wheels are communicative enough, even with ****ty tires it's mostly stable even at extremely high speed. Here's what I will say: WHEN IT RAINS. SLOW. THE. ****. DOWN. I can tell you every single time it rains, the traction control kicks in at least once, and at this point, I've learned the car and the oversteer that comes with it and I turn it off.
DO
NOT
TURN
THE
TRACTION CONTROL
OFF.
Don't do it. If you need to swerve it will save your life and keep you from hitting things.
In the rain, these cars get extremely tail happy with poor or worn tires. Like I said, if it's a short drive in the rain I will turn off the traction control because at low speeds I can handle the snap oversteer. If I've traveling faster than about 50mph or for a longer period of time, back on it goes.
I can't tell you how many times I've been turning right or left at a light, and the light was green, 15 mph, small amount of throttle, and the back end is out. It happens so easily.
What's my point: The G sedan is getting cheaper, but it is not a cheap car. As far as the bumper goes, the absolute cheapest way to do it? Buy another OEM bumper, get it painted, install it yourself. As for the other dings, live with them. It's your first car, it's gonna have some battle scars. Last: Get some coin saved. Enough to replace all 4 tires on your G if need be. THEN AND ONLY THEN: Go find a sanctioned autocross event. Get an instructor to ride along and LEARN SOMETHING about car control.
A car can be a toy, but it's not meant to be. Don't show off. Not one thinks you're cool. No dicks will be sucked. No respect earned. I learned this the hard way once. It isn't worth it, because something can go wrong at any second.
