Dumb question of the day!!!
Okay here is a dumb question. I have an 04 G sedan with 75K. Love it. I have been putting in premium gas. However, I read today on "Find a Car" site that it runs on regular gas. Thoughts, please.
Read up a little

Pay attention to the Model (sedan), vehicle year, and transmission type (6MT vs 5AT). Ignore the pointless posts that say " buy a honda if you want to cheap out on gas". Vehicle cost has nothing to do with fuel requirements. Running 93 octane when 87 is required will do nothing more than cost you extra money. Premium fuel does not mean premium performance. If you want to learn more research Octane ratings, what they mean and the differences between them (87 vs 89 vs 91 etc). The higher the octane rating the more resistant it is to ignition. Higher octane is required in some vehicles to prevent the fuel from igniting too soon (ping). Long story short use what the manufacture recommends. Slightly higher wont hurt, but it also wont increase performance.
There are probably a few more posts pertaining to this topic, but I dont feel like searching. Look on the inside of your gas door or your owners manual to find out what you specific vehicle requires.
Just for good measure.

i've used 93 on my 05 AWD sedan since day one. one of my old bosses had the same car same year. the cheap guy that he is, only put regular like the manual said. he would come to me from time to time, asking me if my car engine made the noises his did. his engine pinged really loud. my only reply was stop being cheap gas and put super dammit...
if its a 5AT read the inside of the gas cap it'll say "premium fuel recommended for optimum performance" or something close to that. Basically it runs fine on regular (i did in mine a couple times, no pinging or weird noises) but if you want the best performance out of your car, use premium (which is what i run unless i cant find it)

I've run all three grades of gas, 87,89 & 91/93. I don't like the way it runs on 87. there's no disernable difference between 91 & 93. My G runs ok on 89 and I think I get a little better mileage with 89.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

I had a Cipher cable before I got tuned and advanced my timing 1 degree. It caused me to lose 17 HP to the wheels which I found out when I got tuned. Not really sure why.
It all came back and more with Osiris.
