Even tho I was told I was going to have the 05 Lights two weeks ago by Justin (everything G35) I guess I got stuck on the backorder list

Wish they would just respond to my email and let me know thats the case instead of ignoring me.... irritating since they already charged my credit card like 3 weeks ago..

Why don't you call Justin at Infiniti of Scottsdale (EverythingG35.com)...his # is in this thread somewhere or just look on EverythingG35's Web site. He's always been very responsive to most if not all G35Driver.com members (myself included as I've purchased a few mods from them). I was not charged until they shipped; I guess I got lucky since I received the '05 reverse lights before they went on backorder. Don't worry...

So it looks like I'm gonna be doing half of it when I get the brake lights and the other half (first half) when I get the actual tailights.

I spoke to Infiniti Scottsdale today (everythingg35) and they told me they don't have an eta on the lights -say they have 15 sets on backorder. I ordered them last week and they did charge my card already which is a bit annoying.

I like the old tail lights better. Damn 7 pages of posts about changing tail lights?

One of my collegues just got a G35x. I followed him on a busy street, and I find that his '05 tail lights blend in more with those of the rest of the traffic. I find that the original style is more distinctive, especially at a distance. The new lights do look good otherwise however.

I'm sure if the '05 lights were the originals, there would be even more of a demand to change to the distinctive looks of the triple row of LEDs!

I hope more people change to the not so unique '05 lights. I'll just sit back and watch the value of my stock G go up. Please everyone, continue the mods.

g4me-no offense, but if you think our taillights are going to really help our resale, you need to get your head checked.

I agree, the point being made was with all other things being equal, a stock car's value will hold much better than a modded one. And no offense taken.

I guess it's just me but....
I think there is something to be said for staying true to your model year.
When my car is ten years old I want it to be recognized as a great looking '04 G & not have someone look at my car & say what year is that thing.

But if dropping $$$ on new tail lights is your thing, then go for it. It's your baby, dress it any way that makes you happy.

If all our Gs were the same, it would be pretty boring
(rant over)

nice.. looks good. I was noticing how nice they look as I have an 05 loaner today. I am jealous too of the 05 gage cluster and the new 05 tranny program.

The 05 tail lights just look more sportier... The 03-04 ones are rather bland in my opininon.... I think most of the people switching are guys that are into modding there cars anyways.... so there cars never looked stock to begin with... I know thats the case with me...

I think the '04 brake lights with the '05 reverse lights is a great combo. The '05 brake lights look like a lot of other cars brake lights, but the '05 reverse lights are much better than before. Plus changing the reverse lights only is much less expensive.
