It says that if you have replaced rotors in 05-06 G35x with the last 3 years and have proof they will reimburse you. Something about premature wear!

Got the letter too but I'm not looking into it since I don't fall under the criteria.
Kinda weird they're reimbursing for that but not doing anything about this.

Why just the 05'06 g35x, all the other Gs' also have poor rotor wear, including the 2003-2006 models.

OP, if you got the same letter from this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...or-recall.html

It says 3 years from in-service date or 36,000 miles; whichever occurred first. Also, I highly doubt it will be for those of us with 2006s.

It's 2005x only...so far.

And only of you replaced the brakes within 3 years/36000 of when the car was initially bought. So any brake jobs before 2008/2009 might be able to be reimbursed.

I do know I changed my front brakes on my 06 in 2009 @ 29,000 miles. Replaced with oem rotors/pads and still going at 84,000 miles.

My original rear brakes however are done...changing next week. Just started grinding tonight

I thought the 03-04 non X had a similar notice. Something about if you replaced your rotors within so many miles.

Really nice of infiniti to come out and replace rotors on a 5-6 year old car. Good customer service.

You need to re-read the letter. The dealer isn't going to do anything. It's about getting re-imbursed if you had them replaced during the first 3 years or 36,000 miles of the car's original in-service date.

^^Good to see you're still hanging around.

I wonder how many 05-06 owners kept their receipts from potentially 4-5 years ago to qualify for the reimbursement. Another seemingly shady policy by Infiniti.........

I did....but i don't think this covers '06...different brake design.

If it was done by infiniti, they should still have the records too
