Most often, that code is not a failed o2 sensor, but an exhaust leak.

Basically the computer is looking at the upstream cat and downstream cat and comparing readings. An exhaust leak here can cause this code.

Is the cat or any pipe or weld rotted out?

P0430 (Bank 2)
Defined as "Catalyst system efficiency below threshold"

Either:

Three way catalyst 1 does not operate properly, or
Three way catalyst 1 does not have enough oxygen storage capacity.

Possible causes:

-Three way catalyst 1
-Exhaust tube
-Intake air leaks
-Fuel injectors
-Fuel injector leaks
-Spark plug
-Improper ignition timing

Simple checks recommended in the FSM (service manual):

1) Check for an exhaust leak between the manifold and cat
2) Check the intake tract for air leaks after the MAF.
3) Have the base ignition timing checked
4) Check the rpm idle speed. Verify it is 650rpms.

IMO, take the car to Infiniti and have it checked out. They know better than most independent shops unless the shop in question has a Consult II and the FSM. My guess is it's an exhaust leak. If you need a new cat, buy a used set from somehow on here or my350.com and have the Bank 2 cat installed. You should also verify that your car is outside of the emissions warranty. In some states, cats are required warrantied for 10 years/100K miles. Look in your owners manual for more info.

HFCs may or may not solve the problem. If it were me, I'd first figure out the source rather than throw $400 at it plus install and find out the problem was only a $10 gasket or some other problem not directly related to the cats.

HFCs aren't legal, but since you live in GA, all they do is complete a sniffer test and CEL check. Keep in mind that long term reliability of HFCs is a bit hit or miss and most don't last longer than 3 years before the cat bricks seperate and start making all sorts of racket.
