AWD Bumper Vent

The topic of adding the AWD front center bumper vent to RWD bumpers has come up in quite a few threads so I thought I'd post this information. For those who have not seen an X bumper up close, the vent is really only a hole cut in the bumper with a two-piece insert that snaps in place. The pre-painted insert can be purchased from any Nissan/Infiniti parts dealer for right around $50.

Here are a few pictures I took the other day while changing my oil.

You can see that the silver piece slides inside the black piece and clicks in place. The bumper is wedged between the two. The hole only needs to be big enough for the silver piece to slide through and click into the black piece on the back side of the bumper. Hope this helps anyone who may be interested in adding one to their car.

Nice, I love this look on the OEM bumper. Nice work. Can you take some pics of you whole front end so people can see what this looks like.

Here are a few pics of the whole front end. Looks even better with an OEM lip which I plan to add sometime this Summer.

Yup, OEM lip completes the look. Going to look sweet!

Cliff (dznuts) has done this (replaced whole bumper for an X) and Tim (BlueDream) is planning on doing it as well.

Yes I am. Don't know why but after I pondered a KR or Nismo bumper I settled on this mod to my boring 2WD version. I was going to just buy an X bumper but when OK talked about this in another thread it was like pennies from heaven.

With the OEM lip this is gonna look ****!!!

What? People like the vent? I hate mine. Thankfully on a black car with a front plate....it's well hidden
