Arrow Weird power loss problem

Hey all. My G has been having problems starting up. Prior to this problem, the car has been in awesome working condition.

So I try to start my car one morning and it randomly fails to work. It seems as if the car has lost all power, which makes no sense because I have a fairly new battery (few months old) and am positive that I did not leave lights or anything else on.

All of my radio and seat presets have been reset, yet both the analog clock on my dash and clock on my nav system have kept the correct time.

I open and close the door a few times, then finally the car detects my keyfob and let's me fire up the engine. My car randomly fails as if it doesn't detect keyfob, then randomly works again. What is going on?

I thought the problem might be due to low battery in my keyfob, but it won't let me start engine with key either!

Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem. Turned out the battery negative cable nut was not tightened all the way. I'd check your negative and positive and make sure they're good and tight.

I can't believe I didn't think to check something as simple as this. Awesome suggestion. My positive cable was loose. Thanks.

Don't worry, you aren't the only one so don't feel bad... it used to happen to me quite a lot as well after coming back from work overseas. It gets loose sometimes.
