^Nice. Before long we're gonna need a 200k club

Were the spark plugs changed before you did them? Surely they had to have been around 100k

The plugs weren't original, but were quite worn. I'm guessing they had ~100k+ as a crude guess. I think the main reason this car has been so dependable is it gets driven. Seems crazy but in my experience garage queens have more problems than DD's. About the worst thing you can do to any mechanical device is not use it.

Yeah, that's very true.

A friend of mine bought a 300zx off a lady that just putted it around town on the weekends, and it ran like crap. He got ahold of it, did a tune up, flushed/changed all the fluids, and beats the hell out of it almost daily, now it runs like a champ!

I run Mobil1,5w 30 full synethic. I have changed the rear end fluid out to Mobil1 synthetic and I have changed the trans fluid twice. I am about to change all fluids again this weekend for a 3rd time. It is pretty much a stock engine car, except an Injen CAI. I have no headers, test pipes, or catback on it. I installed Tein S techs when it hit about 50k. It will need new shocks and struts soon, i can tell the ride is getting a little rougher than it has been in the past. Other than changing the battery & the brakes. I havent changed any mechanical hard parts at all....I have installed Hawk performance brake pads and drilled and slotted rotors last time i did the brakes. I am needing another brake pad job and turn the rotors very soon. The starter, alternator, a/c compressor is all original so far...I have flushed the radiator coolant out once and will do it again this weekend when i do the other fluids. Besides the factory CD changer and radio has gone out 2x on me. I m going double din and aftermarket in about 2 weeks. Other than that, i cant complain, its been a great car & im sure i can get another 100k out of it before i part with it...

btw i drive the crap out of it...drifting every chance i get...but 90% of the miles are interstate driving.

------UPDATE-------

My G now has 224k miles on it & i just had to replace the radiator due to the top plastic end tank slightly leaking....That's the first major part that i ve changed since i bought her back in 06.

Microsoft Excel is great for keeping track of expenses. The autosum and formula features totals up my MPG in seconds.

Oh believe me, I make excellent use of Excel's advanced features all the time at work. I'm just far to lazy to enter all my fuel rceipts!

I'm thinking about purchasing a 2005 sedan with 115k miles on it for about $10,000.

I will be daily driving it. 25 miles each way.

get it or something else with lower mileage?
