Scottwax... that is really impressive! I have been wondering when my clutch will go... planning to sell my 2003 soon (love it, but getting too old to take care of 6 cars!)... and wondering if buyers will be concerned about remaining clutch life.

 

I check my clutch occasionally on a 7-10% grade near me, 6th gear, 40 mph, floor it. No jump in rpm as of yet. Most of the 60,000 miles I've put on mine have been nights and weekends when traffic is lighter and on road trips. Probably 70% of the mileage is from trips. Only the 2nd owner, original owner lived right off the highway. I might chirp a 1-2 shift a few times a month, a handful of 2000 rpm clutch drops in the nearly 5 years I've owned it. I don't ride the clutch, don't keep it pushed in at lights.

My brother had a late 80s Mazda 626 GT (basically a 4 door Ford Probe turbo) that at 215,000 when he sold it still had the original clutch and turbo.

 

My "Baby G" has close to 300,000 miles its sitting officially at 294,856 miles parked outside. Life is good with a G.

Just hit 80K on my 2003 Coupe. (and just started the possible Parasitic Draw issues)

All’s well that runs well.

She got a new radiator this summer.
New belts and a new tensioner also.

No rips in any of the leather, no rust whatsoever.

Bought her in 2016 w/ 79K
Might look to move her in the spring at 175K.

2nd owner since 2011.
Still on the original clutch.
Radiator/thermostat and hoses recently replaced
Cam/crank sensors also recently replaced.
Other than that the car seems to be working well with a few minor issues and I hope to keep driving it for at least another 100k miles!

 

Just purchased a 2005 coupe with 19k miles. Its brand spankin new

 

2006 G35X premium package BOSE and NAV with 142,000

 

Currently at 206,600 miles. Just drove to Cincinnati and back (from the Dallas area) with no issues. Speed limits are 70-75, usually going a few over. Averaged 25 mpg at those speeds, best of 26.4. Usually get better mileage heading west towards Arizona, probably because the highways are less congested.

Still has the original clutch.



FYI, my 2004 Accord V6 hit 300,000 miles this past weekend and is just as clean.

 

Just took over my bro’s 05 6spd sedan w 176k miles. It’s showing signs of wear and he didn’t really maintain it but still runs like a champ. Looks like it just needs new shocks and a hood hinge since the hood doesn’t close flush on the corner. These things last.

 

I purchased my G brand new in 2005. Absolutely love this car. I have 271k on her. I have the Sport Package with Bose. It's an Automatic with factory 18's.
