vibration 45-60 (not out of balance)

I have 20 inch Avarus AV1 staggered set up 245/30/20 front 275/30/20 rear 04 sedan rwd .
The other day I was driving and noticed a vibration throughout the car between 40-60 mph. Then it would go away. Then I would do the same thing again and it wouldn't do it. So thinking it was the wheels I took them had them balance them and it didn't need it. So I replaced with my stock rims and still the same thing. Would could cause this?

If I hold the same speed 60-65 after 2-3 miles it goes away. I'm stumped! U joints? A break caliper dragging? Does the same whether I'm on stock rims or my 20s.

Doesn't seem like the probable cause but it might be the wheel bearings. Do you hear any whine? Wouldn't be a bad idea to grab your wheel spokes and shake back and forth. There should be very minimal play.

+1 on wheel bearings.

Are you running spacers at all?

I spoke to a nissan dealership and its going in on tuesday. They are suspicious of transmission problems when I spoke with them over the phone. Good thing I have a warranty.

Dropping it off with the shop tonight. I drove it to work today with stock rims and pulled into the parking garage and smelled something. Went to the back left wheel and its smoking hot. So there is something going on for sure. I think your all right. I'm thinking bearing. will find out tomorrow and report back

Rear brakes is the issue. There not sure if its the calipers or just the brake lines. Brake line replacement first then if needed replace with loaded calipers if brake lines don't fix. How random is that? I've never had rear brakes do that ever.

I just had that issue myself. Left rear brake seized. Ordered a reman caliper for $47 off rockauto.com. Don't even want to know what dealer cost is for that.

Not sure why they replaced the line first. The only reason for the line being the culprit is if there was something clogging the line preventing fluid from releasing when you disengage the brake pedal. If that were the case, the entire system would need a full flush to get whatever else could be in there. It could affect more than just one part. I would have thought caliper first. At least it's covered.

That's what I suggested but the mechanic wanted to try a cheap fix first since calipers are 80 a piece and lines are 20 each.
