Sick of looking for an exhaust.

I am about to pull the trigger on a full Borla for $900.
I can't belive how hard it is to get a used part for this car.
I don't live on this forum, but every pipe that I see come up on here or craigslist (national search - not local) gets sold right away.

My resonator is rusted through and the muffler is looking like crap - a lot worse then the 50k miles would have me belive.

Anyone know of a cheaper place to get a Borla or other non ricer droaning pipe? Must fit a 2004 4D G35X

thanks,
Eddie

What do you have as far as a custom muffler?
Shipping would probably be a fortune.

I just "polished" my stock muffler, at 80K it looked like crap. But now it looks shiny, not mirror finish but it looks much better.

Care to share the details? There's a DIY on here and it looks really labor intensive. I'm still considering doing it anyway.

Yeah I saw that DIY, I just cleaned with a mild degreaser and basically treated it like the 3m headlight kit. And I actually had a bunch of sand paper pads left from a few different 3m kits. I'm on my phone so I can't show you right now but it was much easier than that DIY made it look.

They clean up relatively nicely, and since the canister kinda sticks out polishing it up does make a difference. I used a wire brush to get alot of the surface stuff off and then used a drill with a wire rotary brush for a brushed metal look.

shameless plug
