Ok, so I have one more option that's just presented itself.

A member PM'd me offering a good price on Meagan Racing Track Series.
I've done extensive research on the MDU, and before this, I had basically decided on them.

I know nothing about the MR coils because I haven't researched them at all because they really weren't an option until now.

Things I need to know:

Ride comfort: They're called "Track Series" ??? That kinda concerns me. What's the spring rate and how do they ride? First hand experience from people that have ridden on several different coils and springs preferred.

Adjustablity: Can I adjust damping? How much of a range is there? What about pre-load?

Style: Are these OEM style, true coilover, or either (like the MDU)

Longevity: I'm about to start putting a good bit of miles on my car daily. How long will these last?

Megan Racing Track Series are "True" style coilovers where the spring bucket is not utilized. The suspension ride will be stiff, I think the spring rate is 14g fronts and 12g rears. They do have adjustable dampening and ride height adjustable as well as preload adjustable.

Cant wait to see what you go with, your ride will look sweet just a little lower. Im in the same boat, trying to get low for as economical as possible. Im leaning towards BC but still researching...

Toro, you ever get up in SC? Im not too far & even though I can't really compare it to anything else since every G I've been in has been stock height, I'd like to give the pirates a review and possibly go that route with mine.

This is the killer here. You need to spend more than what you've budgeted for to get anything thats going to last you a long stretch of time.

BC is the first set of cheap coilovers I have ever purchased. They seem to be holding up fine so far. The ride isnt terrible (12kg/10kg) even with the dampers set almost to full stiff. Granted they leave a few things to be desired I still dont think you could get a better product for the money, and if their warranty / shock replacement policy is still the same that gives more reason to go with them. I paid about 900 shipped for mine, you could probably get them for less if you look in the right place.

Just remember which ever brand of coils you go with the lower you go the more you will want camber kits if you dont already have them especially if you gonna track. So make sure you add that into the cost fund.

im lookin at the pirates too ash and am about ready to pull the trigger i already would have but im between jobs so funds coverd bills but im on my 3rd day at the new job which is closer to home and im making a bit more so 2-3 months after i replenish me emergency funds im going with the coils which im excited about my question is im not sure about the life of coils.

i know older cars alot better than i do ours which is why i lover learning from everyone but i say you go with the pirates why buy used i think if brand new coils are a option then why buy used?

^I know exactly what you're talking about. Actually the exact reason I haven't bought coils yet. (Started the new job on 7/18)
I'm still not sure if I'll get these, or if I really can get the MDUs for only $100 more after shipping/tax/etc... I may just go that route simply for the warranty factor.

I would go with the megans... U can choose between the track and street series. I have had my megan coils for a year and have had no problems. They also have adjustable dampening.

Thats my opinion

If you just wanted to daily and not be hella-flush/poke, I'd say you could go with them. I don't have first hand experience with these but I've read enough and heard enough from those who have had them to give my 1 cent

Pirates...no idea.

I've had tein CS, Stance GR+ (true coilover) and now stance LX. I think the LX give me the perfect comfort and sport feeling. Come out to the GTG and we can go for a ride
I agree with Chris. My G is a dd and I think it's comfortable and sporty on my Stance LX.

I'd like to take a ride with you or Chris while I'm there to see how the Stance's ride. I'm super happy with my Tanabes for the same reason, they ride great and handle even better. I'm curious to see how they compare. What are the spring rates on the LX's and are they OEM or true coils?
