Just to double check...correct, or incorrect part

I need a new DRIVER's side rear caliper.

THIS, is not a driver's side correct?

The caliper, if looking at the wheel into the car, with the front of the car being on the left, sits at the 9 o'clock position. That would put the bleeder on this caliper on the bottom...which is incorrect.

SO, just so i know i'm right...this is a passenger side caliper right??

This is the SECOND wrong caliper rockauto has sent me. To be fair, the part number does match the number on their site listing a driver's side caliper, but this is the second passenger side caliper they sent.

Guess i need to get a 3rd caliper.

If you can wait, I'm going to be swapping to brembo's. I have an 06 RWD sedan so I have the same brakes as you. I'm going to sell the whole brake setup. HPS pads/centric rotors

+1 Replaced mine around the same time. Wish I had done some type of treatment on the new caliper before install- the new one I put on has rusted. Heads up to the OP

Yes, already aware of it. Oroginal caliper is rusted to hell. When I pulled the pads out, the piston had tons of rust in it. The reason I am replacing the caliper is that the slide pins had seized so only the inside pad pressed the rotor when I hit the brakes. The outer pad is just along for the ride.

The other caliper wasn't that bad. I cleaned it up with wire brush, primed and then painted the caliper. Then i relubed the slide pins and filled the boots with high temp grease. Should protect it for some time. Will do the same to other new caliper.

Some point down the road, I'll pull both off an inspect. If the other caliper looks worse, I'll just replace it.
