overheat caused by the ac

Hi, people, i have the 2004 g35 with 100000 miles. Recently it gets overheat whenever i turn on the a/c no matter i drive in traffic, local or highway.

I get confused if the car in traffic or local and it gets overheat when the a/c is on, that would be caused by the fan. but my car get overheat in highway( i drove 60mph) when the ac is on. when the a/c is off, the needle in tempe gauge goes back to the midd-line. the temperature here in new york is 83F

the two fans seem run very normally

any idea? thermostat ? or the water pump ?

When was the last time you flushed the coolant? Also, do you know the condition of your radiator?

^^ Time for another flush.

Does the car overheat when just sitting? I would let the car sit in the driveway and run it until the fans come on. Obvious places to look you already stated but your radiator could be going.

It could be your thermostat or the fans for the radiator. I would make sure both fans turn on when the AC is on and both of them are free and not binding or have any heavy resistance. The warranty was extended for Coupes but it could also be something that affects you.

You will be fine with a Nissan thermostat.

i just flush the coolant and replace the thermostart, but the problem is still there. when the tempe goes up i mean the needle at "H", the engine has a higher rpm, then i heard a "click" sound from the hood, and then the tempe dropes back to the normal, just wonder is it something wrong with ECT sensor or other senosr? or even the water pump

thank you
