350z Suspension - HELPPP!!
350z Suspension - HELPPP!!
Hey Guys looking to buy this set up for my 2005 G35 Sedan. If you could pls click on the link http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ297700020 Ive been emailing the guy he says he's selling it for his boss but neither of them can confirm the year it came off of. If someone can take a peek at the pictures would you be able to give me an idea of the year that theses may have come off of? Thanks appreciate it !!
It's hard to tell from the pics, but two red dots and one white = unrevised springs.
As it was stated ^ 1" drop the rear spring rates are 342 , front spring rates are 314. Good buy IMO. You can always swap out the rear springs for G coupe springs if you decided to.

Ok cool, thanks for the input.. Can someone just tell me what to do with my suspension.. I want it lowered without having to get into camber kits and all that. Im stuck between revised/unrevised 350z and some people are saying 350z shocks with coupe springs.. What should I do friends??!? Im a man torn.. when i had my civic it was soo simple..
Buy those springs and shocks/struts. Thats a good price and it sounds like they have low miles and plently of life left.
Otherwise you have two options.
1) Search more because I think that 350z/g35 coupe springs on a sedan is probably one of the most covered topics on this site. A bazillion posts on this subject. (Similar to asking whats needed to swap a B-series into a 5G civic)
2) Save all the headache and money and buy coilovers. It's a little more intial cost, but in the long run you are better off.
If you have the original shocks/struts they are probably close to if not past their shelf life so you will need to replace them. New shocks start at about $300 for non-adjustable ones and $600+ for adjustable ones. Springs will run you $200-$350 depending on the brand.
Coilovers that are fully adjustable start at $550 and go up from there.

i believe these are revised... if im correct the revised struts had a sort of gloss looking sticker on it. and unrevised didnt.

my alignment would not go into stock camber specs /w Z suspension, but it wasnt that bad.. a tenth or two below min on camber.. I think it was around -1.2 with the z springs.. the 350z tein h techs (which are only .25 lower) put the front at -1.7
I think most people on here would agree that it is worth it.. just buy them and put them on

Ad says the car was purchased new in 2005, so whether it was a 2004.5 or 2005, those springs are revised. Looks to me like the dots on the rears are two red, one purple, which would confirm. So yeah, just put the whole works on together, no camber kit required. Too bad the front springs are separated from the shocks, you'll need a spring compressor to assemble them.

Honestly, you guys are the F'n best.. Thanks everyone for the info. I'm gonna go ahead and buy them this weekend. Once installed is there any other steps I need to take? I've heard some people saying to take it to an alignment shop and get them to spec the car to 350z set up? What are peoples thoughts on this matter? Thanks.
Yes after you install the suspension schedule an appointment to get an alignment.
As far as sedan or Z specs either will work. There is only so much they can adjust with OE camber/TOE components.
You'll like the suspension and ride once the new suspension is on.
