Why did you buy a sedan over a coupe????
I bought the sedan because I saw it at a local dealership, loved it and could easily afford it. Had I driven by that day and seen a coupe, things may have been different.
I feel that I've made the right choice because mine is an X, which, having had to battle the last three New England winters in a RWD Charger, will be a very, very nice change.

In response to a few arguments I evoked:
Well I had a few criteria to meet with my impractical fun car: in my price range, good platform for modding, rwd, manual, newer/low mileage, preferably jdm, and SEXY!! There are few cars that fit description. Obviously the mustang and elise do not. The z is a good argument but honestly I think they're hideous in comparison to our cars for very minimal performance enhancements. The G sedan didn't visually float my boat either so it was pretty much between a G coupe or an s2k. However the s2k really only looks good with the top down (imo) and I live in Seattle... My decision was easy at that point.
Honestly... I actually agree with you. That's the one part of my car that I really don't like. However there are a couple aftermarket bumpers that reduce the bulbousness to an acceptible level so it's not an issue for me. And until I get around to doing it, at least it's in the back of my car so I don't have to look at it very often.
The truth is that I picked my car because it has adequate stock performance with lot's of room for improvement and I think the body style is one of the best looking cars (especially for the money) on the road. I have nothing against the sedans. In fact my mom has one! They're great cars but the coupe just seemed to fit my personality better, so I went for it.
There's no reason (aside from looks, which is debatable) from your logic, to buy a G35 Coupe as your 'fun' car, rather than getting a Z. The Z is harder, faster, more fun, practicality can't enter into the 'fun' car equation so the Z's lack of practicality goes away...
Really, the Z doesn't even fall into that category, because there's more fun to be had for cheaper with something like a V8 Mustang.
And technically, even THAT doesn't fit, because if you're buying a car for fun and to be dead sexy, you should be buying an Elise.

I am so glad I am not car picky.... I'd rock a Pontiac Aztek (easily one of the ugliest cars on the road) if I had to lol.
I talk to so many people who wont buy cars over the stupidest, littlest minutist details that I just want to facepalm. "The headlights are too big" "The trunk is to long" blah blah. If the car flows, I'll drive it lol.

On a G sedan, i'd just rock it because it is sick.
this is ridiculous... seriously, how many sedan vs coupe threads do we really need???
This stupid debate has been going on for years - what's sad is; it's not unlike Ford vs Chevy - but in this case its the same make.
Get over it everyone... if there was ONE car that EVERYONE liked - we wouldn't have this thread or this forum or this industry... who gives a crap what the other guy likes???
It goes without saying - someone's G (whether it be a sedan or a coupe) is better than yours... goes for just about everyone on the planet... it wont change so there is no need for these threads.
