squeek rear tire, no brake applied. Help!
I just recently purchased an 04 G35 Coupe. It was Certified where I work and the put all new rotors and pads and tires around the car. I noticed the other day when I was slowly moving forward in line to get into a parking lot at Kings Island In Cincinnati. Bassicly just idling forward with car out of gear (manual) and not even touching the brake. I could hear a slight squel coming from back right tire.
When I first got car, parking brake was non existent. Took it to the shop and they said the wire needed adjusted, now works fine. Could they of tightened the line to much? Parking brake handle feels normal, not to tight...... Where could that squeek be coming from. It is only when I am just crawling forward. The only thing that worries me is that I am not even touching the brake.
I did ask Infinity while it was up there getting a door lock replaced and they asked if the parking brake hub was replaced? I doubt it. They said there is a different brake for the parking brake?

The hub for the parking brake is the inside of the rear rotors. It is basically a drum brake system.
I think when the new pads were installed no one apply the high temp grease to the backs of the pads.
They looked at it in the package and opted not to use it because it might get their hands dirty.

Nice to see another person from Cincy on here!
MikeE nailed it; the parking brake is a drum brake on the inside the rotor. You can always pop the wheel off and turn back the parking brake adjuster a bit to see if it clears it up.
Also, how do the rear pads on the caliper look? If they get too low, they'll squeal a bit.
