Ever Seen a MD Harakiri Axle-back Sedan???

So I was wondering, has anyone gotten/seen a G sedan with Motordyne's now discontinued Harakiri Sedan axleback (single-exit non vq model)? I've tried searching for pics of the exhaust ON the G but no luck.

I apologize for the confusion. The VQ exhaust was a model made by Motordyne Engineering. I was not referring to the VQ engine.

This is the Harakiri Exhaust:

This is the VQ exhaust as seen on blklude98's car (also was available in a single-tip option):

I don't think anyone bought it to be honest.

If you want to see a single exit check out JDM_cain's car. He has the greddy single exit.

I can understand if no one bought it (~$750), but would have been nice to see. I wasn't really interested in seeing other single exit sedan exhausts--was just curious about this one (not for personal use). I know there are other options for sedan single exit i.e. for the sake of mentioning:
  • Jic Spartan
  • Buddy Club Racing Spec
  • Agency Power "conversion" done by 350GT-R

I was in an accident, had to be removed to make repairs. I actually just cleaned it up.

I think the midpipe is same as the Harakiri which last time I checked Tony still sells.

Ouch! Sorry man, hope u and the G are alright.

I know the midpipe is the same, but I don't mind getting a hold of a used one. I can ask Tony but the one on his site is without a resonator. I might custom fab an axleback for it.

Tanabe and Fujitsubo make one as well. I'm sure there are others too just can't think of them off the top of my head.

I considered that axleback when I was buying my setup, but I didn't wanna pay that much for what looks like a "fart cannon". I wanted it to look like it was somewhat stock(not overdone or ricey) but it sure as hell doesn't sound stock. if I'm not mistaken its louder than the vq axleback, vq=very quiet btw.

If tony wants someone to test it I would.........but I wouldn't pay that much to own it.

You are correct, but I was thinking more N1 or R1 style in relation to the MD Harakiri. Tanabe, Fujitsubo, etc are clean oval canister options though.

+1 Not always can you make a "fart cannon" look clean and not ricey--with class. I didn't realize Tony's "VQ" meant very quiet...seems like the opposite but sounds great lol.

When I bought my exhaust my car looked very stock... now lowered and with some decent wheels I could pull off the look of the harikiri. But if its louder than my current setup it would be hard for me to drive anywhere and not get in trouble

I wish I could try one out just to be sure it wasn't super awesome
