Because i can't find any other cars i like out there besides the Legacy GT. The G has more upside than the other cars i am finding in the same price range..only catch is i find the front ugly but i am trying to think of ways to make it look better

I have driven bunch of different infiniti's this week and to tell you the truth I really am beginning to miss my 6mt. I love the boxy body style of the 1st gen G35 versus the Bubbly G37. The power difference between the 2 cars should not be enough to sway you from one to the other. Heck you have a X AWD model which not only does your TRANNY rob you of power but even your AWD setup. When you are going with AWD X i think speed is not important as much as snow traction.
You really need to get your priories straight and decide why your are wanting to change and stick that. You can expect everything CHEAP, FAST and GOOD. If we could all have all 3 then ummm...what is this forum here for. What about the extra tax money you paid for the newer model and stepping down in value...you are throwing that extra sales tax you paid away. What about any mods and such you did to your current vehicle that money is getting pissed away along with any maintenance you did. What about a warranty sicne I doubt the older model will have one unless you spend $1500 buying one.
I am sure when you go buy a new vehicle you will be buying someone's headaches. Be ready to take care of all the fluids, brakes, any worn out suspension components, spark plugs, air filters, cabin filters and what not. I think you should hop back over to the other side of the forum and stay there for your own good

In the end, when you wake the next morning, don't regret the decision that you made the night before. Think this through. I partially agree with faiz23 in that you already have money "invested" into your current car. If you do sell make sure that the pre-owned vehicle you will be purchasing has a good history/Carfax unless you know the owner on a credible basis.
As far as personal experience, I have not driven the AWD models, but did drive a 2008 G35 Sedan rwd as a loaner car while mine was being serviced for an airbag recall. In summary, I did not like it and wanted my 04 G back asap! The ride quality (comfort), acceleration, interior refinements, etc. may have been better (not superior) than the 1st Gen G sedan, but the 1st gen was MUCH more enjoyable to drive. I'm not sure how to describe it, but there was a much more raw connection with the road and putting power down had more personality. Just my 2 cents.
Keep in mind that I got the loaner only a month after getting my 04 G Sedan; therefore, I can say my perception was hardly biased.

$18.9K...price i paid for my car now. All 2nd G's around me are 80+k miles base..no nav/prem/tech like mine.

wouldn't call it much of a downgrade. The difference in speed/accel is negligible.
The body isnt even that much different. The only thing that i would call a major improvement is the headlights. If i put 07+ headlights on my car, especially with the trunk i have, whod even know the difference
