/what tires shoould i get ?

Get some 255/35 275/35 NITTO INVO. I had them on my car for a while (and still have them as my DD tires) they handle alright and are fairly cheap, only thing that bothers me is they don't make noise before they brake loose (which has cause my to spin at the track a couple times ) just something to think of. If you're getting hankook, get RS3s not V12s
On C&D, Hankook V12 came in 2nd, my RE760 Sports came in 4th, but I liked the areas where it did well. The Nitto Invo came in 8th, just ahead of arguably the worst tire review I've ever seen.

So you're saying every Joe shmoe should buy R comps or slicks if they decide they wanna go to the track? Also it was my first AUTOX and I came into the corner too hot! Never have spun at a HPDE
Maybe you shouldn't drive street tires on the track? Just a thought. The RS-3 might make a good track tire, but it's a poor choice for a DD. You'd be lucky to get 10K miles on a set, and it'll cost you $300+ per tire.

I made no such claim. I made a suggestion to someone complaining about a street tire giving way at the track, the same complaint Car & Driver had in their review. They said "a soft feeling at the limit and that they were difficult to drive precisely because the grip would taper off in a nonlinear fashion". And your suggestion of the RS-3 is alot closer to a track tire than anything I said.

The V12's have treated me very well, and I've been extremely pleased with them.
They've had great longevity, but still grip well (a combination you don't see often)
Also good wet-weather handling, and when they do break loose, it's very linear.
They are starting to get more noisy the older they get though, but let's face it, no tire can deliver everything, and the V12s deliver on the things that are most important to me. Especially when you factor in their relatively low price.

Thousands every 10k miles?
It's $950 shipped and I have 1 track day and 1000 street miles and they still look brand new. They last 20k is more like it..atleast from people that ACTUALLY have them say..
Again not trying to go off topic so OP, buy the cheapest tire you can possibly find since your car will just be DD and never see any sort of track.

Then the OP can be like a friend of mine that put Linglong tires on his Subaru Impreza, only to lose massive amounts of handling and braking, which ultimately led to the cars demise when a lady in a conversion van ran a stop sign right in front of him and he couldn't stop fast enough (partly due to tires with sucky grip)

Ah, yes! Great advice...

Btw your friend sounds like he just can't drive ...

So unless you're ACTUALLY gonna give the OP advice why don't you STFU and GTFO

This thread really took an ignorant turn for the worst.
Why would anyone put a G35 sedan on the track?
I love the today's youth boasting how good their Hankook, Kumho, Sumimoto and other low dollar cheap crap tires are.
There is no need to justify your tire purchase.
Bragging about how great your cheap tires are does not make them good tires.
Maybe retink your brand selection next time... For a few dollars more you could have scored a decent and quality tire.
Until then, just keep bickering amongst yourselves.
Ashamed.
